Once you've accepted your offer, it's time to tick off the final few steps to becoming fully prepared for joining the University of Huddersfield!
Stage 1: Accommodation
Now you’ve chosen to study at Huddersfield, you need to decide where you’ll live. Whether you plan on living in Huddersfield or commuting to university, we’ve got the information you need.

HudLets, run by the Students’ Union is your go-to place for finding high-quality accommodation close to the University.

Commuting to university
Over 50% of students commute to campus. Join our 9000 strong community of commuters.
Stage 2: Finances
Once you’ve sorted where you're going to live, you need to make sure you have your finances sorted to make life easier when you enrol.
Maintenance loan
As a full-time student, you may be entitled to a maintenance loan to help pay for your living expenses such as accommodation, food and travel.
Tuition Fee Loan
Full-time home undergraduate students can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan, which is paid directly to the University to cover their fees.
Lifelong Learning Entitlement
From January 2027, the UK government is introducing a new system called the Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) for people considering university education.
Stage 3: Support
If you need any disability support, its best to let us know as soon as possible. We can get a Personal Learning Support Plan (PLSP) in place for your arrival. It’s worth having a look at the wellbeing support we offer as well.
