His research focuses on synthetic organic chemistry, including nitrogen heterocycles and polyene natural products. He teaches organic and pharmaceutical chemistry across chemistry, pharmacy, and forensic science courses.

Gordon Morris
Professor of Carbohydrate Chemistry
His research focuses on polysaccharide structure-function, mucoadhesion, and peptide chemistry. With expertise in biopolymer analysis, he investigates interactions and stability in carbohydrate-based systems.

Dr Sandra Hernandez Aldave
Senior Lecturer in Forensic Science
Sandra was awarded the Global Wales International Research Mobility Fund to facilitate research opportunities with the University of Alicante. She is a Lecturer in Forensic Science in the Department of Chemical Science at the University of Huddersfield.
