Our postgraduate courses are designed to be as flexible as possible, because we understand the commitments that some of you will have whilst working towards your qualification. You can study for either a Master’s or Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate on a full or part-time basis. Some courses are also offered as distance learning.
Part-time study helps you to achieve academic success whilst juggling other commitments. You might also want to consider undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma. These qualifications are steps towards a Master's degree, are internationally recognised and can be built upon in the future with us to ensure you achieve the highest possible qualification and achieve your career aspirations.
If you’d like to explore your part-time study options in Business Management and Human Resource Management (HRM), our Business School is holding Part-time Study Evenings in July and September 2016.
You don’t have to live locally to benefit from our excellent postgraduate courses. Many courses offer distance learning options which enable you to access a wealth of online resources and expand your knowledge from the convenience of your own home and whatever your commitments.
Credit Accumulation and Transfer Scheme (CATS) and combining subjects
CATS offers study for students who are in paid employment, are unemployed or may be caring for children and relatives. Credits are awarded for each module successful completed, which means you can work towards postgraduate qualifications in a way that suits your needs.
You can study associated subjects of your choice, combine subjects across disciplines and transfer across to different types of awards. You can also transfer from full-time to part-time study or vice versa and if your studies are interrupted, credits can be retained for later use (within a six year period from the start of study).
Individual modules and CPD
All of our postgraduate modules can be studied individually, making them an ideal source of specialist knowledge. If you’re assessed for a single module, you can receive a Certificate in Continuing Professional Development, which can be ‘cashed-in’ later as part of a Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma or Master's degree.
