Come and get to know us at one of our postgraduate events and discover all there is to know about studying at this level with us. We offer varying events including online Postgraduate webinars and our in-person on campus Postgraduate Open Days, allowing you the opportunity to visit us.

What can you expect?

At our events, you can explore more out about postgraduate options at Huddersfield including our taught Master’s courses, Professional Development opportunities, Teacher Training options, Master’s by Research degrees and PhD level courses, and understand the funding options available to you.

In addition, when you visit us in person, you’ll have the opportunity to talk to academic staff and current postgraduate students, to get a feel for student life and support at Huddersfield.

Postgraduate Information Fair

Here, you’ll find stands showcasing our academic subject areas, our Schools and our range of support services.

Postgraduate Study and Finance talks

Listen to our presentation covering the different aspects of undertaking postgraduate study and the funding support available.

Postgraduate Teacher Training talks

Alternatively, learn about training to teach across various educational stages: early years, primary education (PGCE), secondary education (PGCE), and the post-14 lifelong learning sector. You can also learn more about the possibility of a tax-free bursary for eligible students.

See where you'll be studying first hand with a campus tour

If you’ve not visited us before, take the chance to have a tour of campus and get a real feel for where you'll be studying. Make sure to head on over to our Help Desk on the day to join the next tour.

Who can I speak to on the day?

As well as academic and research staff from your subject or School areas and current students, you’ll also have the opportunity to speak to:

  • our Distance Learning team
  • The Graduate School for in-depth understanding of our research opportunities
  • our Student Recruitment team - you could get on-the-spot offer to study
  • the International Office regarding application and visa queries
  • other support teams including our Careers service, Wellbeing and Disability services, the Student Finance Office and the Library
  • the Students’ Union and HudLets accommodation support.
