We offer a merit-based scholarship programme for international students. These will be awarded to international applicants who apply by the application deadline for each intake, some exclusions apply*.

International Scholarship Key Facts

  • We will automatically consider any full-fee paying international applicant that has to pay international fees that makes an application to the University. There is no need to fill out an additional application form and we will advise you if you have been successful when you receive an offer of a place from us so that you can begin to plan your finances. 
  • The University will award scholarships for every year of your course** to our international applicants***.
  • Must be an international self-funded student paying full overseas fees.
  • Scholarships are not available for students applying for Master's with Professional Placement with Huddersfield Business School
  • Students applying for Master's with Placement in the School of Computing and Engineering may be awarded a merit-based scholarship on confirmation of academic achievement.
  • Additional course-specific scholarships may be available and will be confirmed at point of application. International scholarships will not be applied in combination with other awards.
  • Students should check their offer letter for full details of the scholarship awarded and fees.

* Exclusions include international students applying to the School of Arts and Humanities, MA TESOL with Placement, Nursing and Allied Health Professional courses (Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy, Operating Department Practice) and students applying with a country of domicile from China, the maximum scholarship is £2,000. Master's by Research programmes are not eligible for these scholarships. Please see our Research Scholarships.
** Excludes placement years.
*** Applicants with refugee, asylum-seeker status or indefinite leave to remain in the UK are not eligible.
