Feedback is gratefully received here in Estates and Facilities.

Constructive feedback is used to shape our future plans and the service we deliver.  Positive feedback is shared with relevant team members and celebrated, whilst constructive feedback is investigated, and where possible, changes are put into place.

Please see below some positive changes which have come about as a result of feedback from our customers.

  • You felt the external lighting on campus was inadequate - A scheme of works took place in Spring 2019 installing addiitonal lighting to target those areas/roads causing concern, which including roads adjacent to the Joseph Priestley Building, Technology Building and Media, Journalism and Film Building.  Additional lighting was also added to existing columns to illuminate the bridge crossing to Sparck Jones and Haslett and the in-effective bollard lighting was removed from the canal path, near the Charles Sikes Building and replaced with column lighting.
  • You commented that the reception in the Charles Sikes building should be more visble and customer facing - The stair near the entrance was filled in to make way for an open entrance leading to a new larger reception desk (Summer 2018).
  • Comments were received about the state of the toilets in the library - Works took place in Summer 2018 to refurb toilets on all floors of the Library.
  • The reception to the administrative office in Sparck Jones, 1st floor, is not accessible to all students - A new entrance to the office was created in Summer 2018, with an outward opening door which enlarged the area and made it accessible to all.
