
Senate
The Senate is responsible for the consideration of the academic plan of the University, its associated academic activities and the resources needed to support them, and for advising the Vice-Chancellor and the University Council on academic matters. It is responsible the maintenance of academic standards and student performance.

Senate Committees
- University Research Committee - responsible for the strategic direction of research policy, research integrity and ethics, and for exercising oversight of the registration, supervision and examination of candidates for the University's research degree awards.
- University Teaching & Learning Committee - responsible for overseeing all matters relating to the development and delivery of taught programmes of study and ensuring the maintenance of appropriate academic standards.
- University International Committee - responsible for overseeing all international matters including the recruitment, achievement and experience of international students and international profile-raising.
