We are an Official Higher Education Partner of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), which provides students with access to a number of joint events; including workshops, guest lectures and an Annual Prestigious Lecture.
Huddersfield Business School is a Member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools, who support and represent the interests of business schools in the UK.
As a member of the Business in the Community (BiTC) network, we collaborate with other organisations to tackle a variety of issues facing society today.

Huddersfield Business School is an Advanced Signatory with the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), who partner with the United Nations to promote corporate sustainability and social responsibility in management-related academic institutions.
We work in partnership with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and our Accountancy and Finance BA(Hons) undergraduate degree provides some exemptions from their graduate examinations.
The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) works in partnership with Huddersfield Business School, and our Accountancy and Finance BA(Hons) undergraduate degree provides some exemptions from their graduate examinations.
We work in partnership with The Association of International Accountants (AIA), and our Accountancy and Finance BA(Hons) undergraduate degree provides some exemptions from their graduate examinations.
The Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants (CIPFA) works in partnership with Huddersfield Business School, and provides professional exemption from some of its exams for students on all of our Accountancy undergraduate degrees.
Our Economics department works closely with The Royal Economic Society (RES) and many of our Economic lecturers are members.
Our links with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) provide students from all our Accountancy and Finance undergraduate courses with some exemptions from some of their graduate examinations.
Huddersfield Business School has strong professional links with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD); one of our senior lecturers holds the elected ambassadorial role of Chair of West Yorkshire CIPD Branch, with other lecturers playing key roles in the Huddersfield group and nationally.
Our Postgraduate Diplomas in Human Resource (HR) have been approved by the CIPD in line with their HR Profession Map, and allow students to apply for Chartered Membership upon completion of the courses. Students on the Strategic Human Resource Management MSc are awarded professional Associate Membership on completion of the course.
Huddersfield Business School has strong professional links with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), and a number of our courses allow students to gain or apply for CMI qualifications with no additional assessment.
Both our Business Administration and Management Top-Up and our Certificate in Management Studies allow students to achieve a Level 6 Certificate in Management and Leadership, upon completion of the course. A number of our Business Management undergraduate courses enable students to gain a Level 6 Diploma in Management and Leadership on competition of the course, with no additional study. Our Business MSc Suite students can achieve a professional CMI qualification with no additional assessment; whilst our MBA programmes allow students to not only register for a Diploma from the CMI, but upon graduation, they can apply for Chartered Management Status.
Huddersfield Business School has strong professional links with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), giving students access to a range of marketing industry events and guest speakers. Our undergraduate students also have the opportunity to participate in The Pitch, a national competition run by the CIM, which involves teams of students developing a marketing communications campaign for a well-known brand.
Huddersfield Business School works closely with the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing (IDM), who are the leading, internationally recognised professional organisation for the development of direct, data and digital marketing.
The IDM run an annual competition where students take part in a live project that develops a direct marketing campaign for a well-known brand. This competition forms part of the assessment for our final year Marketing undergraduate students, who choose to study the Direct and Digital Marketing module. Students studying this module are also encouraged to sit the IDM Professional Practice examination.
Huddersfield Business School has a strong professional relationship with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS); and our Operations and Supply Chain Management postgraduate degree is accredited course.
We work closely with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and a number of our undergraduate Supply Chain and Logistics courses are accredited with the CILT. Both our Operations and Supply Chain Management MSc and our Logistics and Supply Chain Management MSc are also accredited courses.
Students on our Business with Sustainability BA(Hons) course can obtain Student or Graduate Membership with the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
