Initial Teacher Education (ITE) Partnerships and Placements
At the University of Huddersfield, we know that great teachers are shaped through meaningful, well-supported school experiences. That’s why strong partnerships sit at the heart of our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) provision.
About our ITE Partnerships and Placements
We work with over 100 schools, colleges and sixth forms, alongside established School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) partners including Huddersfield Horizon SCITT and Teamworks SCITT. Together, we create high-quality placement experiences that support trainee development and reflect the realities of today’s classrooms.
Our dedicated Placements Team works closely with partners to build sustainable relationships, supporting trainees, developing mentors, and delivering real value to education settings.

Sarah Ahmed
