Areas of Research Interest
What is an Area of Research Interest?
Areas of Research Interest (ARI) are document published by public policy organisations, such as local governments and parliament, that provide guidance to the research communities on where their expertise is most needed.
They often take the form of a question that expresses an information or knowledge gap in that organisation. Once answered, the findings are used to inform current policy decisions and help to address challenges and opportunities that directly affect local priorities.

Could your research help inform local and national policy?
Kirklees Council have published an initial set of ARIs.
We encourage all our researchers to engage with and respond to ARIs wherever possible as a function of knowledge exchange and impact.
Have you completed any research that goes some way to answering these questions? Are you planning a project or do you have ideas on how to respond to them?
We want to hear from you!
Complete this form and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss your idea. Please allow two working weeks for someone to confirm next steps with you.
