Here at Huddersfield you can get involved in as much or as little as you want. Our campus means you’re never far away from anything that takes place, from your lectures to events, the Students’ Union to the town centre.
You can keep up to date with everything that goes on across campus by following the University on social media. The University has main accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Google+ but you’ll also find that our academic schools and support services also have dedicated accounts if you have specific questions about your course, financial support or admissions information.
The campus offers you state-of-the-art facilities and we’re constantly investing in our campus to ensure you have the best possible learning opportunities when you join us. In 2014, we’ll open our new £22.5m Learning and Leisure Centre which will provide students and staff with a unique hub which will combine easier access to library, computing, sport, leisure, eating, social and meeting facilities.
Employability is really important at Huddersfield. We’re proud to be one of the UK’s leading universities when it comes to integrating paid work placements into our courses. We also place a huge emphasis on encouraging our students who would like to set up their own businesses. We were recently awarded the prestigious Times Higher Education Award for Entrepreneurial University of the Year 2012 and our Enterprise Team is here to support our students with their ideas, big or small.
