Academic skills tutors

Your one-stop shop for all enquiries regarding academic skills. Academic skills tutors can help with things like managing your time, citing and referencing, scientific writing, exam and revision techniques, maths and IT skills.

Student support office

The Applied Sciences student support office deals with queries regarding course administration. If you have any questions about your module choices or placement for example, the team will be happy to help.

Student guidance office

For support and guidance on non-academic matters.

In the MyHud portal you’ll be able to take a look at your Welcome schedule. This will include the date, time and location of your first meeting and your enrolment. During this time you can expect to attend the following sessions:

Global Professional Award

As part of your degree, you'll study the Global Professional Award (GPA).* This programme is an exciting opportunity to develop the skills we know employers are looking for and to make new friends along the way. If you complete the Award, you'll also receive a Level 5 award in Leadership and Management from the internationally renowned Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
