DIGS Accommodation Guarantee

There’s room for everyone in Huddersfield and there is some excellent student accommodation. Book with our preferred, recommended and approved accommodation provider, DIGS Student, and be guaranteed a room in halls of residence if you have made us your first choice and match one of the below criteria:

  • UK, EU, or International student. 
  • Undergraduate or Postgraduate student.  
  • Part time or full-time student.  
  • Study Abroad exchange student from an institution outside of Europe arriving in September. 
  • Study Abroad non-exchange student from an institution anywhere in the world arriving in September. 
  • International Foundation Programme student. 

AND who meet all the following terms: 

  • You have chosen the University of Huddersfield as your firm choice on UCAS by 31 August of the year of entry to the University.  
  • You have applied for accommodation by 31 August of the year of entry. 
  • You are unaccompanied (this means that you are coming without dependent family members, spouses, or partners). 

 
The guarantee is not for a particular room type. This means that DIGS cannot guarantee that you will be allocated to your preferred room. Please note that to fulfil their guarantee, DIGS may offer you a room that is not in their advertised residences, but is in Huddersfield.

DIGS were recently voted Best Value Student Accommodation Provider in the 2021 National Student Housing Survey and were a Finalist for the same award in the 2022 National Student Housing Survey.*  
*The survey is an independent survey of students in Higher Education and focuses on their student accommodation experience. 

What if I don’t meet the criteria for the DIGS guarantee?  

 
If you don’t meet the criteria, let DIGS know and they can advise you of your options. They may still be able to provide you with accommodation if they have the availability.

If you don't get the grades required for a place at the University of Huddersfield, then DIGS will cancel your contract and refund any money paid up until that point. T&Cs apply
