HEART

The University of Huddersfield are a key partner of HEART and proactively support collaborative activities of the twelve strong partnership.

HEART has a mission to work in partnership to improve access to, and achievement in, Higher Education to enhance individual and economic development. 

The University of Huddersfield therefore supports collaborative initiatives aimed at improving access for those from under-represented groups, responding to business needs and supporting the Leeds City Region in meeting their goals for economic development.

HELOA

The University of Huddersfield are a member of HELOA which is the professional association of Higher Education staff

Over 800 members from over 130 UK universities and higher education institutions provide guidance, information and outreach activities to prospective higher education students, their families and guidance advisers throughout the UK.

The Association has a code of practice which encourages collaboration, sharing good practice and rigorous standards of impartiality. 

 

HEAR WY

The University of Huddersfield are a key partner of  HEAR WY (Higher Education Aspiration Raising - West Yorkshire) is a partnership of all West Yorkshire's Higher Education Institutions and was established in response to the government's Excellence Challenge (later Aimhigher) initiative to widen participation into Higher Education in 2003.

The HEAR WY partnership is chaired by Julie Pink from the University of Huddersfield.  The partnership's aims are to:

  • Share best practice and resources and avoid duplication of effort.
  • Provide quality assurance and consistency in activity content and learning outcomes for all partner institutions, by adhering to the key learner outcomes of the Learner Progression Framework.
  • Provide a central hub for communication and discussion for key stakeholders.
  • Support HEART to achieve partnership Widening Participation Objectives.
