Your Interview: What to Expect

If you apply for any of the following courses, you will be invited for an interview:

How will the interview take place?

All interviews are held online. You’ll receive an invitation with a link to a short video that you’ll need to watch before your interview.

Please also have your ID ready to show on camera. Your interview invitation will tell you the suitable forms of ID that you can use.

What we're looking for

We’re interested in you – your values, your passion for nursing, and what’s important to you. There are no right or wrong answers. The questions are simply a way for us to get to know you better.

Our interviews are designed to be informal and supportive, so you can feel relaxed and be yourself.

What happens during the interview?

Top tip: What to wear

Wear something that makes you feel confident and professional. We understand that "professional" looks different for everyone – comfort matters too!

After the interview

Once a decision has been made, and we’ve received all the necessary information, we’ll update your UCAS application with the outcome.

If you’re offered a place, you will be asked to complete a Pre-enrolment Portfolio (PEP). This portfolio enables you to provide information about your previous practical experience of healthcare or person-centred work that could be applied to your chosen field of nursing.

Experience in a wide range of work and professional roles is relevant to nursing practice. We have mapped this portfolio against the learning outcomes of our professional stream of modules on the MSc programme so that you can demonstrate how your prior learning is relevant.

This portfolio will account for the equivalent of 700 public-facing practice hours and 550 transferable or relevant theory hours.
