Five academics, led by the Vice Dean (Research)  from our long standing partner, the Faculty of Management and Economics (FAME) at Tomas Bata University, Zlin, Czech Republic, took part in the School’s annual research conference. Tomas Bata was a shoe manufacturing entrepreneur and his brand is still going strong. Our Czech colleagues presented papers mainly on performance measurement and business clusters. Their cluster research is having major policy impact – they have advised four Central European governments!

FAME’s Department of Finance and Accounting was well represented and the HoD established good contact with Prof Aydin Ozkan. Hopefully ruitful co-operation will ensue”.
