New, improved Student Portal

Why it's changing

The online student portal (hub) will start the first stage of its transformation from September 2019 and will be rebranded MyHud.

Students asked us to improve it!  "No more clutter!" "Reduce duplication!" "Personalise it for me!"

The design and content has been informed by our students, along with analytics and input from services across the University.
It’s just the first stage of improvements for the student portal, designed to encourage our students to become more independent learners.

 

Improvements will include:

• Fresh new layout and design.
• Accessible content.
• Plain English language.
• Timely, relevant and accurate signposting to a range of information and services.

Alongside this, students.hud.ac.uk will undergo a refresh. Content will have a fresh layout and will be optimised to allow current students to find relevant content much quicker. 

 

Next steps

Over the next few months, we will be engaging with staff and students to spread the word that MyHud is coming.

A number of resources will be available for you to promote MyHud to our students.

These will include:

• How to Guides.
• Video.
• Key digital messages and print material.
• Social media content.
• Plasma screen slides.
• Exhibition stands.
• Posters.
