Ostrava Co-operation Alive and Well

The Dean and Vice Dean (Research) from the Faculty of Economics at Technical University of Ostrava attended one of our graduation ceremonies. Professor John Anchor, Associate Dean (International) says: “we have recruited students from Ostrava, which is the third largest city in the Czech Republic, since 2004. Things are getting more difficult currently due to a demographic downturn in the Czech Republic, as well as Brexit.  However our links, which go back to a curriculum development project in 1999, are still strong. It is nice that Ostrava and other Faculties take the time to see their students graduate at Huddersfield”.  

Professor Jill Johnes, Dean, discussed Data Envelope Analysis with Professor Zdenek Zmeskal over lunch. Dean Zmeskal has a colleague who works in the field.
