We renewed our student mobility agreement with Faculty of Management and Economics (FaME) at Tomas Bata University, Zlín, Czech Republic during graduation. Professor John Anchor, Associate Dean (International), says : “the mobility has been  taking place since 2004. During that time HBS has received more than 60 students at both Bachelor and Master level”.

The Dean of FaME and the Vice Dean (International) and the Vice Dean (Research) visited HBS. We discussed research cooperation and invited colleagues from TBU to attend the HBS Annual Research Conference in January.

HBS also received a verbal invitation to attend the 25th anniversary celebrations of Tomas Bata University in 2020.  Tomas Bata was a shoe manufacturing entrepreneur who founded the eponymous brand. He built garden houses for his workers, like at Bournville (Cadbury) and Port Sunlight (lever Brothers). . His name is closely associated with Zlin and his statue features prominently on the University campus.
