Join the staff BAME Network

The BAME Staff Network welcomes anyone who works for the University or associated organisations and who identifies as Black, Asian or minority ethnic.

On Thursday 19 July between 12.15pm and 1.45pm, the first meeting of the renamed Staff BAME Network will be held in Room LSG/14A.  This meeting is for all BAME staff working within the University of Huddersfield.

Lunch will be provided, so please sign up to the BAME Staff Network by contacting Steve Lui to register your interest and advise us if you have any access of dietary requirements.

The role of the network includes:

1.            Provide a forum for BAME staff networking and to facilitate peer support for BAME staff

2.            Increase and sustain the level of engagement of BAME staff within the University by organising social events to promote race equality issues within the University

3.            Collaborate with the University to shape the Policy and Procedures on race equality issues with Staff Development Team on Equality and Diversity issues

 4.           The network will promote BAME research and collaboration on BAME research projects within the University.
