Rumana Khan, President, Indian Student Society

The Indian Student Society is one of the most active global societies at the University and we welcome students from all around the world to get involved and have fun. We also have been acknowledged with the award of best contributing society in 2014/15. We participate along with many nationalities in various cultural and sports events both on and off campus. We celebrate traditional Indian festivals such as Eid, Diwali, Christmas, Holi, Indian Republic Day, etc and find a lot of students want to learn more about these events. Join us and become a part of the largest democracy in the world by knowing about the rich culture and make yourself feel at home. Please don’t hesitate to contact us via social media or email: campusevents@hud.ac.uk. Get involved in the various events and activities all-round the year. We look forward to welcoming you to the University of Huddersfield.
