Research within the School of Applied Sciences encompasses academic and applied research across three major areas of activity: Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy and Geography.

Our research interests are organised into a series of research centres including:

Multi-disciplinary projects involving multiple research centres within the School and across the University are strongly encouraged with the aim being to develop and conduct research that impacts upon global challenges in drug discovery, material sciences and medicines.
