About the Department
The Department of Psychology is focussed not simply on teaching psychology but on ensuring our students actually ‘do’ psychology. We aim to blend a thoroughly rigorous academic approach to the discipline, whilst also ensuring students appreciate the application of psychology to the real world. The Department of Psychology also emphasises the integral role of high quality research in moving the discipline forward. We are proud to be a high quality teaching led, research active Department that encompass a diverse portfolio of expertise. The Department is home to the Centre for Applied Criminology and Policing.
