The WELL Building Standard in the Jo Cox more in Common Centre
The Jo Cox More in Common Centre has been built to the WELL Building Standards
The Jo Cox More in Common Centre is the first University of Huddersfield building to be constructed to the WELL Building Standard. It was the first Higher Education building in the United Kingdom to achieve pre-certification to the standard. The building became operational in early 2023 and has been awarded the highest level of certification, the Platinum WELL Building Standard.
The WELL Building Standard is a method of designing and operating a building in a way that enhances the wellbeing and health of those who use it. Learn more about the Well Building Standard.
The Daphne Steele Building, as part of the new National Health and Innovation Campus, has also been built to the Platinum WELL Building Standard.
