Revive Reuse Donation Banks
Are you ready for a spring clean out? Then bring your clutter to campus and donate it to a good cause! Two green collection banks have been installed on the university campus from the local charity ‘Revive Reuse’, for staff and students to easily pass on their unwanted clothing and goods.
Revive Reuse is a community interest company charity that sells donated items or reusable items that they have intercepted at Kirklees Council and Leeds City Council waste recycling sites and collection banks. Part of their remit is to make reusable items available to our local communities at affordable prices. In doing so, they hope to alleviate poverty and hardship - improving the quality of life of those around us.
Revive Reuse provide employment and opportunities for those from socially excluded backgrounds. They offer these people the chance to develop skills and socialise in a safe environment. As a result, this can reduce isolation, improve mental health and help those in our communities contribute to the area in which they live.
Donating unwanted items
If you would like to donate your unwanted items to Revive Reuse you can use the collection banks on campus which are located in the Charles Sikes Car Park and at the top of Commercial Street (just behind the Barbara Hepworth Building).
What you can donate:
- Clothing and accessories
- Shoes
- Books, DVD’s and CD’s
- Kitchenware (pots, pans and utensils)
- Towels
- Sheets and blankets
- Curtains
- Toys and games
All donations should please be clean and in a saleable condition.
Alternatively, you can drop donations off directly at the Revive Reuse shop which is located next to Huddersfield Bus Station in Huddersfield town centre, 8 Upperhead Row, HD1 2JL. This is a 10-minute walk from the University.

The Commercial Street Donation Bank is at the bottom of the Barbara Hepworth Building.
