Director of Finance

The Director of Finance is responsible for the financial strategy of the University. This involves providing strategic and business oversight which drives operating performance to ensure the financial sustainability of the University. The role also includes responsibilities for financial planning, reporting and analysis, financial and decision support, balance sheet and treasury management, financial risk management and purchasing. She also has responsibility for student records and data returns.

Lydia has previously held senior finance and leadership roles in education and other sectors.   She is an experienced and commercially focused senior financial professional with a track record of strategic and financial management.

A Chartered Management Accountant with more than 25 years' experience, she also holds a degree in Economics from the University of Manchester. 

Lydia is also an experienced trustee having worked with local multi-academy trusts and education charities, where she has been a board member and Chaired the Audit, Risk and Finance Committees.
