Partners in Scheme

Re-launching in 2025, the accounting scheme brings together six leading firms of chartered accountants and auditors from across the region. The initiative is designed to support students in developing essential technology skills, provide invaluable industry insight and help them progress confidently toward their chosen career paths. 

Launching in 2025, the Partners in Business Scheme is a new initiative that brings together organisations from a diverse range of industries—including banking, hospitality, retail, and the charitable sector. The scheme will highlight the wide variety of sectors, employers, and graduate opportunities available. It offers students valuable opportunities to connect with industry professionals, gain insights into potential career paths, and prepare for life beyond university.

Partners in Law

We have a long established Partners in Law scheme whereby we work closely with a number of  local, regional and national firms. The partnership sees us work with lawyers to enhance our students' experience on the course and also to improve their employability prospects.

This is done through a range of initiatives including our annual professional mentoring scheme and law careers fair, as well as guest talks and masterclasses.

We maintain a close relationship with many of our alumni who themselves benefitted from working with legal professionals during their own degrees and now seek to pass on the benefit of their experiences by shaping the next generation of young lawyers.

Our students have the opportunity to develop a range of legal contacts during the course of their degree that they can then call on when they are applying for employment roles after graduation.

As a Partner, you will join a network of organisations that can assist Huddersfield Business School with providing content, time or expertise, to enhance the curriculum and support student development. Partners may support:

• Guest lectures/workshops
• Mentoring Scheme
• Placements, internships, and graduate roles
• Department specific Careers Fairs
• Group consultancy projects/live projects
• Field trips/site visits 
• Mock interviews
• Sponsorships (awards, prizes)

Partners will support students across all year groups within the Business School at University of Huddersfield. By encompassing 'real world' advice or projects into the curriculum, we’re able to prepare our students for life after University. Increased business connections/experiences can influence confidence and growth, resulting in an improvement in graduate outcomes. Partners will also play a key role in supporting curriculum development in the School via networking and sharing new practices and processes in industry.
