Introducing your School Research Office
We have a dedicated and experienced Research Admin Team who are based within our Graduate School, who are here to help you settle in and support you throughout your student journey. The School Research Office is open from 8.30am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday, and you can contact us by email:

Student Guidance and Support Office
There may be occasions when you experience issues or challenges that affect your research studies and our Student Advisers and Academic Skills Tutor are on hand to help.
Support is available to you throughout your studies and the Student Guidance and Support Team can provide you with support for both personal and academic matters. Be it adjusting to university life, managing your studies and other commitments, dealing with exam stress, or that you just need someone to talk to; we’re here to help. They can also help if you wish to raise Disability related matters.
Our Academic Skills Tutor can help you with study and time management techniques, referencing, technical English, Maths and other study related issues on a one to one basis.
The Guidance Team are based opposite the Student Support Office in Spärck Jones, on Floor 1 in Room 7 (SJ1/07).
IT Support
We have dedicated IT Technicians based within Spärck Jones, who are able to support you with the day to day technical computer issues that may arise whilst you are studying onsite. This allows you easy and quick access to resolve any technical issues and gain specialised advice and support.
iPoint
For information, support and advice, iPoint is your one-stop shop for everything you need while you are with us. You can find the iPoint helpdesk in Student Central as well as specific help points around campus - which means that you are never far away from someone who can help.

School Induction
To help you to settle in, we would like to equip you with essential information that will prepare you for your research journey. Shortly after enrolment you will be invited to a compulsory School Induction session, also known as your Welcome Meeting. During this time, you can expect to find out more about the following and meet other new research students:
