Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

If you are offered a place and officially accepted it, you’ll need to return to the University to complete the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application form. Government guidelines recommend that we have to meet you to confirm your identity.

The DBS application form has to be completed no earlier than six months before the course start date.  We’ll email you within this timeframe asking you to book an appointment. 

Please note: this is a condition of your course and the process can take up to 3 months, so it’s really important that you book as soon as you receive the email (you will need your applicant ID number which is on the interview and/or appointment email).

Once you’ve received your email, you’ll be directed to the University On-line Store to make an appointment.  You must bring three original ID documents with you from the DBS supporting documents list, which must be current and up to date.
