GET INVOLVED: Huddersfield University Press - Call for Proposals!

Here at the UoHP, we are actively seeking book proposals. Proposals are invited for books that explore the fields of Human and Health Sciences, Business, Education, Arts and Humanities, Applied Sciences and Computing & Engineering. We are open to submissions for single-authored, multi-authored and edited volumes, as well as short-form books. We welcome all ideas: new projects, those that are part-complete. those that are completed!

Why publish with UoHP?

Open Access:

All books published are available Open Access. We are able to publish selected titles with no author-facing fees or Book Processing Charges. 

Rights Retention

Authors retain copyright in their work and books are published using Creative Commons licences allowing for sharing and reuse. 

Global Reach

Our books have been cited over 170 times. Open Access makes them available without restrictions or paywalls, optimising their reach to an international audience. 

Increased Impact

Research has shown Open Access publishing results in high downloads and citations than non-OA publications, with greater reach into low and middle income countries, and non-academic audience.

All books undergo a rigorous two-stage blind peer review by external advisors and the UoHP Board. We also ensure a high-quality editorial and production process. 

Flexibility in formats & lengths 

Our books publish Open Access in PDF and ePub digital editions.
