TRAVEL: Train Service Changes and Disruptions

Colleagues are advised that major rail improvements between Huddersfield and Leeds will take place from April to June as part of the Transpennine Route Upgrade. This work includes station enhancements, track renewals, bridge reconstruction and signalling improvements. 

As a result, there will be significant disruption to services, including line closures, diversions and replacement buses. 

April - Weekends:

No trains will call at Huddersfield or Slaithwaite. Services between Manchester and Leeds will be diverted via Hebden Bridge. Amended timetables in operation:

May Weekends: 

No trains will call at Huddersfield or Slaithwaite. Services diverted via Hebden Bridge. Amended timetables in operation:

No trains departing Huddersfield towards Dewsbury and Leeds (replacement buses and amended timetables in operation):

May - Weekdays

No trains departing Huddersfield towards Dewsbury and Leeds. Services diverted via Hebden Bridge. Amended timetables in operation:

June - Weekends

No trains departing Huddersfield towards Dewsbury and Leeds. Replacement buses and amended timetables in operation:

June - Weekdays

No trains will run through Dewsbury. Services between Huddersfield and Leeds will be diverted via Wakefield Kirkgate:
