Aptem, our new Apprenticeships learner management system!

 

We are pleased to provide an update on the progress of our new learner management system, Aptem, which will significantly improve the way we work with apprentices and their employers.

At present, compliance processes for apprenticeships are manual and time-consuming for apprentices, employers, teaching staff, and professional services staff. 

Aptem will allow the University to track all compliance and funding information in relation to each apprentice and their employer and will automate almost all compliance processes.

• One location for your entire cohort’s apprenticeship documentation.
• Reduction in compliance administration time.
• Significant reduction in time to claim apprenticeship funding.
• Self-service and progression tracking for employers and apprentices.
• Easy access to accurate date and funding claims.

 

When will this happen?

In June 2025, Nursing Associate apprentices will be the first cohort to be onboarded following an initial invite in April. Following this, all other apprentices who join the University from September 2025 will be onboarded to their course using Aptem. 

 

What support is available?

All teaching staff will receive training on Aptem in the coming months.  We will be in touch with relevant colleagues when this has been arranged.
