Celebrating South Asian Heritage Month
We want to hear from you!
The National Celebration of South Asian Heritage Month runs between Friday 18 July and Sunday 17 August. The month is an opportunity to display the rich and proud South Asian heritage that has blended into the British way of life, contributing to the diversity of our nation, and this year's theme ‘Roots to Routes’ invites reflection on who we are, where we’ve come from, and where we’re going.
The University would love to celebrate our South Asian Community during South Asian Heritage Month (SAHM) and invite you to take part by offering your experience and perspective in a pen portrait.
Whether you respond to the theme – sharing a little about the roots that have shaped you and the routes you have taken – or choose to comment more generally on the importance of South Asian heritage in shaping British culture and society, we want to hear from you!
Simply fill in this short MS form: Calling all staff and students of South Asian heritage! Or if you would prefer to chat, please contact Anna Gamble.
You can also visit the South Asian Heritage Month website to learn more and be sure to keep your eye out on the Staff Hub and EDI Bulletins to see what else is planned to celebrate South Asian Heritage Month!
