Krish Pilicudale is now the University's Chief Information Officer

Krish Pilicudale, previously the University’s Director of Digital Information, has now taken up the new role the University’s Chief Information Officer.

He was also recently recognised by the Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA) as Chief Information Officer of the Year.

UCISA cited Krish for being an ‘…exemplary leader who demonstrates vision, innovation, transformation and professional excellence.’

It also acknowledges leaders who are role models not only in their own institutions but in the wider HE sector, with Krish sharing best practices with other CIOs around transformation, and for negotiating with Tribal for the sector as part of representation groups, which was key to the award.

In 2018, he returned to the University of Huddersfield after working at King's College London and Falmouth University. While at Huddersfield, he has led the University’s Digital Strategy and overseen programmes such as transition of the University's infrastructure to the Cloud using Microsoft Azure, enhancing security postures, rollout of Office 365, Curriculum Management, and Teams automation.
