Recycled Mushroom Buckets
Before Autumn fully kicks in, the ‘Feel Good Gardening Gang’ are hosting one last outdoor Gardening Gang session, before we will have to move things indoors.
Please join us for an edible mushroom planting session!
Date: Wednesday 25 September 2024
Time: 12PM-2PM
Location: Woodland Walk Planters (opposite the Lockside Building)
Come and learn the art of growing edible mushrooms over your lunch break! The recycled buckets have been kindly donated from the University Catering Team. The coffee ground substrate the mushrooms will grow in, is recycled from the coffee ground waste from the outlets on campus.
Each attendee will get their own special mushroom bucket to prepare and take home and grow a crop of edible mushrooms. If you really look after your mushrooms you may get several harvests from them, which you can use in delicious and healthy recipes.
All tools and equipment will be provided.
Book your place here to ensure a bucket is reserved for you, walk ins are welcome too.
See you soon for a shroomingly good time!
