Green Week 2024

The Sustainability team and the Huddersfield Students’ Union are pleased to announce that this year’s annual collaborative celebration of sustainability will commence, from Monday 18 to Saturday 23 November.

It is an opportunity for all staff and students to engage with and support sustainability by getting involved and trying something new.

There is an interesting line up planned, full of a variety of events and activities, some of the highlights include:

‘Carbon, the University and you!’ Find out what the University is doing to reduce its energy usage on campus, and how you can become a ‘Sustainability Champion’.
Tree planting - reforest an area of land in our community
‘Humble Crumble’ - A cooking demonstration with the University’s Head Chef using produce grown on campus
Superhero Sphagnum moss - help restore the peatlands on Marsden moor
Sustainable crafting session with the Students Union
Revive Reuse Shop - Find yourself some pre-loved treasure from this local charity that supports people in our community
