Changes to Printing Services at the University

From Monday 5 August the University will begin the process of relocating Printing Services from its current location on Queen Street to the Barbara Hepworth Building. This will consolidate the service with the Digital Print Centre within the School of Arts and Humanities.

Throughout August there will be periods of down-time whilst machines are relocated and installed in the new facility in the Barbara Hepworth Building. It is important therefore that all users are aware of potential increased lead-times when submitting print jobs to our new Printing Services and that some jobs may have to be outsourced during this period.

Users are encouraged to provide as much notice as possible when requiring large print runs of leaflets, brochures and exam papers, together with any specialist printing such as pop-up banners.

Please note that during the transition period the Digital Print Centre in the Barbara Hepworth Building will operate reduced opening hours of 9:00am – 12:30pm.

Alongside this period of transformation, the University will be developing a new Self-Service print portal. This will allow users to access an online platform, select their required product and quantity, upload their files and collect their print jobs from the Digital Print Centre in the Barbara Hepworth Building. More information on this exciting new development will be released in September 2024 together with the option to book on a tour of the new facility with practical demonstrations of the new Print Portal.
