LGBTQI+ Staff Network - Vision for 2023/24
Did you know we have an active LGBTQI+ Staff Network at the University?
Our Staff Networks provide a safe space for staff sharing a characteristic or identity to come together, discuss mutual issues, access peer support, and provide direct feedback to the University on its policies and projects. The Network also helps to coordinate key events in the annual calendar, such as LGBT History Month each February. It's also an opportunity to socialise with and meet new colleagues!
Our LGBTQI+ Staff Network is a self-organising group and its name was decided upon by members, with the acronym of 'LGBTQI+' chosen to incorporate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans*, Queer, and Intersex identities.
Each year, the network refines its goals for the next year, and you can find the network's 2023/24 Vision on our website, along with the group's Terms of Reference.
If you'd like to join the Network and get involved, or want more information, contact Chair Carson McCombe or email lgbt@hud.ac.uk.
