Partnership with Study Group’s International Study Centre
The University of Huddersfield has a long-standing partnership with international pathway course provider, Study Group, who support international students to study preparation programmes that lead to direct entry onto University of Huddersfield courses.
The International Study Centre is based in the Schwann Building and is run by Study Group. Although a separate organisation to the University, students at the International Study Centre enjoy the same access to facilities, the Library and student societies as University of Huddersfield students.
Students are provided with high quality academic support. The university style teaching at the International Study Centre equips students with the English language and academic knowledge needed to succeed, both during their time at the International Study Centre and the University.
The programmes include an International Foundation Year leading to the first year of an undergraduate degree at the University. The International Year One is a programme that will help students develop key skills and English language ability allowing them to progress to the second year of an undergraduate degree. The Pre-Master’s course is specially designed to prepare ambitious international students with the skills and understanding needed to succeed in a postgraduate degree at Huddersfield. There are also several English preparation courses and induction sessions.
This year, the International Study Centre is celebrating its 15-year anniversary. As part of the celebrations, they have met and interviewed several ISC alumni who have gone on to progress to University of Huddersfield courses.
The Huddersfield International Study Centre is led by Centre Director, Linda McKeon. Staff can contact her at L.Mckeon@hud.ac.uk
