Congratulations to Student Records

At a recent Student Loans Company (SLC) event, the University’s Student Records team was recognised for its efficiency in processing student loans. The SLC rank institutions by their volume of work and timeliness in confirming students’ registration at university. This is the process that releases loan money to students and means they receive money into their bank accounts from SLC.

 

Huddersfield’s Student Records team ranked 3^rd in the UK, with 99.7% of our 7,631 possible students confirmed. To provide some context to this achievement, one of the universities ranked above Huddersfield in the table had only 153 registrations.

 

Since moving to online enrolment, the team has adapted its processes to make sure that they confirm students’ registration in as timely a way as they, processing as many as possible before the start of term. This ensures that students receive their money at the start of the university year.
