Institutional Survey of Researchers

We invite you to share your views on support for researchers. Building on national surveys such as PRES (for PGRs) or CEDARS (for staff), the University of Huddersfield Institutional Survey of Researchers is tailored to inform local plans. It includes some questions taken from CEDARS or PRES to monitor the impact of changes. The data will be used to assess awareness of current initiatives, evaluate what is working well and identify areas and ideas for improvement. We appreciate you taking the time to give your views.

If you are eligible to complete the survey you will have received an email containing an invitation link. Please click on the link to take the survey. Although we use personalised links to track completion rates, we have no way to link your answers to you personally. We suggest that you do not provide identifiable information in the comments sections if you wish to remain anonymous.

Your feedback is important. Our submission for the HR Excellence in Research Award, a requirement for many funding bodies including UKRI, relies heavily on the data from researcher surveys to gauge progress. This survey and the follow-up focus groups inform our Action Plan which will have a direct impact on researchers throughout the Institution. It also supports reporting for REF and other research-related accreditation.

The survey takes around 15-20 minutes to complete and is open until midnight on Sunday 29th May. After two filtering questions at the start, the remainder is optional, although we would appreciate as much detail as you feel able to provide.

Please note that emails come directly from Qualtrics using: noreply@qemailserver.com. This is not spam. For further information please contact Rosemary Wood at r.a.wood@hud.ac.uk.

This is your opportunity to inform our plans and anything you can contribute is much appreciated.
