Following on from the success of the online book club held during Race Equality Week in February, we are running another book club on Monday 21 March 2022 to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination 2022. We will be focusing on the book What White People Can Do Next: From Allyship to Coalition by Emma Dabiri.
We need to talk about racial injustice in a different way: one that builds on the revolutionary ideas of the past and forges new connections.
In this incisive, radical and practical essay, Emma Dabiri - acclaimed author of Don't Touch My Hair - draws on years of research and personal experience to challenge us to create meaningful, lasting change.
We hold a copy in the University Library but you are welcome to source the book from your local library, kindle, audible or supplier of your choice. Read, Holmfirth, a local independent book shop, may also have copies of the book available.
Please email Olivia Briddon to book your place!
