National Day of Reflection

Marie Curie are encouraging everyone to take part in a day of reflection on Wednesday 23 March, to support the millions of people who are grieving, and remembering the family, friends, neighbours and colleagues we've lost during the pandemic.

It’s important to acknowledge that many people are still living with the grief and trauma of the past two years.

We will be creating a Wall of Reflection to allow everyone at the University the opportunity to come together and connect through this shared experience.

What are Walls of Reflection?

A Wall of Reflection is a place to share your thoughts about loved ones who've died during the pandemic. You can display photos, poems, objects, music, stories, articles, hobbies or recipes – whatever feels right for you.

The Student’s Union have kindly offered to host a wall on Wednesday 23 March from 11.00am – 3.00pm, on their floor (up the spiral stairs to the left of iPoint in Student Central).

You can take along your own items to attach to the wall, or we can provide templates for you to write/draw on.

If you would like to contribute but aren’t able to attend on the day, please feel free to complete the below template or any other item and I will make sure it goes on the wall for you.

Further support

This is an emotive subject, and I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of some of the support available to members of staff at the University:
