Call anyone in Teams – yes anyone!

With the Calls feature, you’ve got a work phone wherever you go. Call UK mobile numbers and landlines, internal and external contacts, all directly from your Teams app.

 

Here’s how:

Go to Calls, search a name for internal calls or dial a phone number for external calls, and press call. This will start a voice call with anyone, even if they don’t use Teams.

 

Try it!

Go to Calls and search your colleague’s name to try it out for yourself.

 

You’ve also got a new work number. Find it in Calls below the dial pad.

 

Run through the basics in 90 seconds

Just as you would on your mobile, you need to include the area code when dialling a phone number in Teams. There's no need to dial '9' before entering external phone numbers though – this is only required if you're calling from a traditional campus phone.

Please note, international calls are by arrangement only and incur additional charges. These should only be made where there is a genuine business need. Calls to premium-rate numbers are blocked.
