Important Security Update for Apple products

Colleagues should be aware that Apple have released urgent software updates to address newly discovered security issues for many of its products; with mobile devices, including iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches being particularly vulnerable.

The security updates block so-called "zero-click" spyware that could allow an attacker to take control of a vulnerable device.

Staff should take steps to ensure that these updates are installed on all University or personally owned iPhone and iPad devices as soon as possible.

Owners of Apple MacOS computers should also ensure the latest available software updates are applied, which could also be affected.
