The University of Huddersfield can offer exciting research opportunities to the next generation of experts in science, engineering and the digital economy thanks to 25 new PhD scholarships available that are backed by £2.5m of funding.
UK applicants are welcome to apply for fully-funded Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) studentships in the following subjects:
- Materials Science
- Manufacturing the future
- Physical Sciences
- Energy
- Engineering
- Mathematical Sciences
- Digital Economy
Up to 25 projects across these subjects are available through a competitive application process. Tuition fees and a tax-free bursary starting at £17,668 are available for three years of full-time research for the University’s largest EPSRC allocation so far.
Applications are being taken until 19 May, and the scholarships begin on 1 October 2023.
Successful applicants will have full access to the University’s cutting-edge facilities in their chosen subjects, including metrology, precision engineering, 3D modelling, chemical analysis and more.
