Iranian Student Wins Travel and Tourism Prize

Roshanak Jedari-Jabari (Rose) graduated in July 2021 with the 'Best final year performance' on BA (Hons) Travel & Tourism Management.

Dr Adam Dennett, Rose's Course Leader, says: "Rose is one of the most hardworking students I have come across. Despite English not being her first language, she made the most of what university has to offer".

Rose participated in several societies during her time at the university, networking and coaching others. At course level, she was student representative for two years, and played a vital role in making sure that students on the course had a "voice" and pursued positive change. Rose was a popular member of the course, with both students and staff.

Rose was dedicated, driven, and studious throughout her course.  Her grades were very consistent throughput her studies and were the result of a great deal of hard work.

As a result of her success, Rose will be undertaking PhD studies at Huddersfield Business School. Her topic is The Psychological Effect of Accessible Facilities And Equipment On Tourism Experience Of UK Families With A Wheelchair User and her main supervisor will be Dr Adam Dennett

Rose, who is originally from Iran,  says: "I am very grateful for all the opportunities which the University of Huddersfield has provided, and I am very much looking forward to the next stage of my journey".
