Tuan Cuong Dinh joined the BSc Supply Chain Management with Logistics top up course in September 2020, at the start of a very challenging year. Cuong had previously studied in Vietnam and had a background in Business. He had also undertaken business and language-related internships during his previous studies. These prepared him well for the Supply Chain with Logistics course.
Cuong volunteered to be a Student Representative, a role which required him to interact with his fellow students and raise discussion points and ideas at the termly meetings. Cuong undertook his responsibility with dedication and made a valuable contribution to the running of the course. Taking up this opportunity also helped Cuong to integrate with the group and enhanced his interpersonal skills.
During his time on the course, Cuong was a conscientious student, working hard on his modules and managing his time well. He developed a deep insight and understanding of the supply chain and logistics sector and produced an excellent final project in which he investigated last-mile logistics and customer experience in e-commerce through a case study in Vietnam.
"Cuong was a joy to teach and his contributions during on-line lectures showed his critical thinking skills and ability to see things from a strategic perspective. He was always keen to learn by asking questions in lectures, which also helped to challenge others," says Christine Jordan, his Course Tutor.
Cuong's hard work and dedication paid off and he achieved excellent results, with a First-Class Honours degree. He was also awarded the Course prize for Best Performance on BSc Supply Chain Management with Logistics – a major achievement.
Cuong says: "We do not lack ability. We just lack courage. It all comes down to Courage. The Courage to Be Disliked: How to Free Yourself, Change Your Life, and Achieve Real Happiness".
