HBS International Student Awarded Prize by CMI

International student, Muhammad Awais, has been awarded our Chartered Management Institute Final Year Student of the Year Prize.

Awais is a consistently high achiever, and he was awarded best year two student on the BA Business Management Suite. To then achieve best final year student the year after is quite an achievement! Awais was very goals orientated throughout his time at Huddersfield Business School (HBS) and he ensured he was always organised to deal with the demands of university life. Awais had a positive approach to his studies, and this translated into his excellent results.

Dr Shelley Harrington, final Year Tutor for the Business Management Suite, says "Awais and I spoke about the importance of identifying connections between theories and real-life situations which he felt his lectures at university enabled him to do and he now has ambitions to continue his career in business management after a very successful year".

As a result of his academic success at Bachelor level, Awais has progressed to the MSc Strategic Human Resource Management programme at HBS, which he started in September 2021.

Awais says: "The receipt of this award has been a positive moment for me. I am forever grateful to my course tutors, who supported me throughout my undergraduate degree. I believe in life you go through thick and thin, but this shouldn't stop you from achieving high and striving to become successful in the efforts we make on a day-to-day basis".
