Sarah Jarvis to discuss Covid pandemic at webinar on 27 July

Our new visiting Professor of General Practice, Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE, will be in conversation with Professor Karen Ousey discussing pandemics, COVID-19, vaccinations, how the pandemic has changed the UK and what the ‘new normal’ may look like in a free webinar hosted by the University on 27 July.

The webinar runs from 17:00 to 18:00 BST via Zoom, and requires registration. Questions for Dr Jarvis can be submitted after registering.

A GP and Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Dr Jarvis became the University's Visiting Professor of General Practice in February 2021. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 global pandemic, she has delivered reliable medical advice on all aspects of the coronavirus and has been a much needed and reassuring voice for the nation throughout the outbreak.

The webinar will be chaired by Professor Ousey, Director of the Institute of Skin Integrity and Infection Prevention, of which Dr Jarvis is patron.

Professor Ousey’s research interests focus on skin integrity, infection prevention, management of surgical site complications and improving access to education for all health care professionals and service users.

The webinar will take place on Zoom Webinar. The meeting link and passcode will be shared via email prior to the event. You do not need to download Zoom onto your devices, you can join the webinar by simply clicking on the meeting link.
